Music lovers in Nigeria have often witnessed clashes of interests between record labels and their artists and yet another one is in the offing.
Singer Saeon is currently in a face-off with her label, Baseline Music. She is accusing Baseline of sidelining her while focusing on other acts on the label.
She expressed her grievances in her new single, ‘Storig’, which was reportedly leaked online. In the song, she spoke on her disappointment with her label for not giving her enough support like they do for her counterparts, Skales and Aramide.
This is not the first time the singer has made her grievances with fellow artists public.
She accused Wizkid, a couple of months ago, of charging her N1.5million to feature on her single ‘Boogie Down’ and then failed to promote the song.
As at the time of this report, it is unconfirmed whether Saeon is still with Baseline Records.
