Policeman Kills Lover In Bauchi

There was pandemonium in Tura, a suburb of Bauchi state as a trigger happy policeman shot his lover over a rumoured relationship she was having with his best friend. 

The  deceased, Jamila Rahama who is reported to have in her mid-30s was shot over the weekend at around 1pm when the policeman simply known as Abdul (aka Barrister) stormed a house which rumours he heard claims was occupied by his girlfriend and best friend.

An eyewitness pleading anonymity who spoke with the Sun said  the policeman was angry that his best friend was sleeping with his  lover, stormed a house where they were, shot and killed her instantly.

“After killing her, he left the house. He was later arrested by the police,”  the witness said.

The landlord of the house was initially arrested, but after an investigation to see his involvement was later released on bail.

Another source said that Barrister had “heard news that she was sleeping with his friend. She had a child for the policeman and he really loved her, but maybe things fell apart between them and she started dating someone and that provoked him.”

The incident was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State command, Mr Haruna Mohammed in his office yesterday.

In a related incident, another trigger happy policeman shot dead a tricycle driver, Akeem Aranse, during an argument in Shasha, Akowonjo area of Lagos state.
