On Wednesday President Muhammadu Buhari met some MEMBERS of the House of Representatives at a close doors meeting.
The meeting was held in the conference hall of the presidential villa in Abuja.
According to Punch, Buhari and Osinbajo arrived at about 9.55pm to meet with Femi Gbajabiamila and 29 other lawmakers loyal to him.
The source says that those who attended were drawn from all the six geo-political zones. It also notes that the lawmakers were convened to the venue in TWO white Coaster buses.
“Senator Abu Ibrahim from Katsina State who apparently BROKERED the meeting was introducing Gbajabiamila and his group to the President when journalists were asked to excuse them. The meeting was still ongoing as of the time of filing this report at 10.19pm,” Punch states.
Experts say that this meeting was aimed at solving a deep crisis of the APC as well as arguments between the TWO chambers of the National Assembly.
Femi Gbajabiamila was the APC’s candidate for the post of the Speaker before Yakubu Dogara was elected.
