Nemesis! Man Chops Off Robber's Ear

The adage that goes thus ‘one day is for the thief, another day for the owner’ can aptly describe what happens when a suspected robber, who was identified as, Chijioke Ikechi, had his ear bitten off by his victim during a robbery attack at a residence in  Ukaegbu Road, Ogbor Hill, Aba, Abia State.

The suspect and his gang had stormed the residence, stole about N300,000 from their victims and machete a resident, Ndubuisi Mba.
Vanguard  reports that a resident of the area sent a distress call to a police patrol team as one of the victims held on to Ikechi after biting off his ear lobe as his gang members took to their heels at sighting the police.
A resident said: “We heard shouts that armed robbers were robbing near our house and called the police, who did not waste in responding.
“When they saw the police, some of the armed robbers ran away. The victim held on to one of them and the police arrested him. We commend the Police team for responding to our call.”
Confirming the incident, Abia State Command spokesman,Ezekiel Udeviotu Onyeke, said the police recovered a machete and an iron pipe fitted with wood, resembling a gun from the gang .
Onyeke added that the victim with machete cut had been receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital in the area. He appealed to the public to provide the police with information that could lead to the arrest of the fleeing robbers.
