The All Progressives Congress chieftains yesterday, July 27, met over the lingering National Assembly crisis, which started as a result of the chambers leadership elections.
The meeting was said to have ended in a deadlock, with President Muhammadu Buhari ordering the lawmakers to quickly resolve the crisis, ahead of the Tuesday plenary resumption.
Speaking after the meeting, House of Representatives speaker Yakubu Dogara pledged his commitment to the APC. Femi Gbajabiamila, on his part, noted that it was the first time since the controversial NASS polls when the conflicting factions had met in a cordial atmosphere.
Judging by the photos, it was really the case. Yakubu Dogara and his major contender Femi Gbajabiamila, who was the party preferred candidate, seem to be friendly to each other. And this does not look like the photo made for cameras. See all the pictures below:
