Enugu Rangers and Nasarawa United are into the semi-finals of the Federation cup following victories over El-Kanemi Warriors and Ifeanyi Ubah respectively.
Enugu Rangers
Rangers who are without a major silverware for the last two decades defeated El Kanemi warriors 3-0 on Wednesday.
Nasarawa United defeated big spenders FC IfeanyiUbah 1-0 at the Kwara Sports Complex, Ilorin while Awka United defeated competition surprise package Niger Tornadoes Feeders 4-3 0n penalties after a 2-2 game was played after 120 minutes at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi.
Nasarawa United
Finally Lobi stars dispatched surprise package’ BJ Foundation of Benin 2-1.
Nasarawa United will face Akwa United, in the semi finals while Enugu Rangers will face Lobi Stars.
Champions, Rivers Angels were eliminated by Confluence Queens in the women’s competition after a 2-1 game was played out.
Bayelsa Queens defeated Edo Queens 2-0 and will face Confluence queens.
Nasarawa Amazons trashed Osun Babes 3-1 while Sunshine Queens defeated FC Robo 2-0 in Oleh. Nasarawa Amazons will play Sunshine Queens in the other semi-final.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has picked Katsina’s Karkanda Stadium and Abeokuta’s Moshood Abiola Stadium as venues semifinal matches to be played on Wednesday August 19, 2015.
