Samson Siasia, coach of the national U-23 men’s football team, is a year older today.
The Dream Team VI handler, who recently celebrated 30 years of marriage with his wife Eunice, is 48 years today as he was born on August 14, 1967 in Lagos.

- Samson Siasia started his football career at the age of 15 while playing for Nigerian club, Julius Berger.
- In 1987, Samson Siasia moved to Flash Flamingoes (now Bendel United F.C) and is believed to have married his wife, Eunice at the age of 18 with whom he has 7 children.
- At club level, Siasia most notably played for French team FC Nantes where he became league champion in 1994/95.
- In his 15 years for the Super Eagles (1985-1995), Siasia played 51 international matches for Nigeria, in which he scored thirteen goals.
