Musa 22, joined the Zenit duo of Alves Gomes and Hulk to top the chart after a goal that he scored for his team in a league match on Saturday.
He scored the goal in the 66th minute of the encounter to equalize an earlier goal by FL Rostov, and his team mate scored the second to give his team a win in the game.
CSKA Moscow top the Russian league table, with 18 points in six games.
Ahmed Musa will be expected to score goals for Nigeria, as the team is preparing to play Tanzania next month in a 2017 African Cup of nations qualifier. He is one of the 18 Super Eagles players that were called to camp by the newly appointed Eagles coach, Sunday
