The special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina has said President Muhammadu Buhari will deal with anybody engaged in corrupt deals in his administration.
Speaking in a recent interview with Vanguard, Adeshina said he pities the first person that President Buhari will catch in his anti-corruption drive.
He said: “I pity the first person who is going to fall into this anti-corruption trap and that person is not going to find it funny.
“When he catches the first person, you will know publicly that there has been a catch, and he will look for more. If you have evidence that somebody has taken any major fund anywhere, and it comes to the knowledge of the President, you can be sure that he will also be dealt with. Gone are the days when people would be accused of stealing billions and trillions of Naira and it ends there and nothing comes out of it. You can be sure, not with this President, because anti-corruption is very, very dear to his heart.”
He added that another thing that was dear to the president’s heart was rate of unemployment in the country. According to him, Buhari was concerned about generating employment.
