Bauchi Governor Appoints New SSG, Emir

Gov. Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi state has approved the appointment of Alhaji Bello Illelah as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
His appointment was confirmed via a statement issued few hours ago in Bauchi on Thursday by the permanent secretary, special services, Malam Abdu Aliyu.

Until his recent appointment, Illelah was the special adviser to the state governor on civil service matters.
He had in the past held various positions including that of permanent secretary, head of civil service, as well as resident electoral commissioner, among others.
Ilelah succeeds the outing SSG, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman who was appointed the 11th Emir of Misau.
“Following the death of the 10th Emir of Misau, Alhaji Muhammadu Manga III on Monday, August 17, 2015, and pursuant to the powers conferred on him by section 3 (i) of the Chiefs (Appointment and Deposition) Law, His Excellency, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman as the 11th Emir of Misau,” the statement reads.
