A player of Bendel Insurance, Tony Oghogho Bendel has disclosed that the team want to grab a promotion ticket to the elite league.
In a chat with OMGDAILYUPDATE.BLOGSPOT.COM on Tuesday, the 23 year old striker said they are working assiduously to advance to the top flight next season.
“The truth is that, National league is more difficult than the Premiership so if we can make it out of here, playing the premiership will not be bad for us. Bendel Insurance have good and quality players and our target is promotion to the premier league,” he said.
Oghogho who is of Nigerian and Ukraninan origin said his sojourn in the National league has taught him a lot of lessons. He started his career as a player at the Dynamo Kiev football academy before relocating to Nigeria in continuation of his career.
The player who had featured in the U17 Golden Eaglets said the national league games are more physical and he is getting used to the environment.
“The league is more physical than premiership obviously, it is more difficult to play in it but you have to be focused and be very fast whenever you are on the field of play.”
The striker who had a short stint with Warri wolves and at the same a cousin to Super Eagles Striker, Osaze Odemwingie said he hoped to
adorn the Super Eagles jersey in future: “of course I look forward to playing for the senior national team, that is obviously the dream of every player and also to find myself in bigger leagues”
Bendel Insurance is the third on the league table of the nine weeks old league.
