There is a renew call for the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to resign their positions following lost of elections at the central and some PDP states to All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Sun reported that this new call is from the former national chairman of the Progressives Peoples Alliance (PPA), Sam Nkire saying that is the right thing the party leaders should do.
He frown over the refusal of the party National Working Committee (NWC) to throw in the towel after suffering defeat in the hand of APC.
Nkire who is now a member of the Board of Trustees of the APC, advised the PDP leadership and members to do the right thing and stop giving politicians the bad name they don’t deserve.
Following PDP lost of presidential election and some other states that were hitherto controlled by the party to the APC,members of the NWC came under intense pressure to resign. The then chairman, Adamu Mu’azu bowed to pressure and resigned his postion as chairman on May 20 while others still clinched to their position.
