The House of Representatives member, Nkole Udukwe (PDP Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency) has said that the federal government has denied his constituents good roads, water and heath care.
Ndukwe said this on Monday in Abuja as he stated that these issues will be his primary focus of his representation in the 8th Assembly.
He said it felt like his constituency had more or less been sidelined and neglected by the federal government.
“In my constituency, we are in deep problem.
“There seems to be a deliberate gang-up by the federal arm of government to deny us good roads, there is no road network as I speak to you.
“We have the worst road on the surface of the earth, and I will try to raise my voice as loud as possible for the federal government to hear.
“It would be sad if nothing is done on that road within the shortest possible time”, said Ndukwe.
He went on to state that lack of clean drinking water is one of their major problems, causing the residents to drink from unknown sources causing bad illnesses.
He stated that it is a bigger problem as the medical facilities are poor and not well taken care of and should be revitalised.
“These three things I want to try to raise issues and make sure that they are well taken care of in terms of budgetary allocation”, he said.
