A maniac grandmother was arrested for beheading, dismembering and consuming at least 11 victims in St Petersburg, Russia.
Tamara Samsonova was hunting for people and killing them for more than two decades as she was obsessed with Soviet murderer Andrei Chikatilo, nicknamed ‘Red Ripper’, who raped, killed and ate more than 52 victims and was finally executed in 1994.

According to police, the woman chopped off her victims’ heads, arms, legs with a hacksaw, gouged out their lungs and ate them. The details of her blood-curdling murders she kept in diaries written in Russian, English and German. Police also suspect Samsonova of another 10 murders, with her husband, who she reported missing in 2005, among them.

One of her diary excerpts reads: “I killed my tenant Volodya, cut him to pieces in the bathroom with a knife, put the pieces of his body in plastic bags and threw them away in the different parts of Frunzensky district.” However, the police are refusing to release details of her diaries until the investigation is over.
Now she is undergoing psychiatric tests
The 62-year-old was arrested last month after being filmed by CCTV cameras removing the remains of her latest victim, a woman for whom she was a carerm in black plastic bag. When in court she said: “I am guilty and I deserve to be punished.” Now she is undergoing psychiatric tests and awaiting her sentence announcement.
