Kenny St. Best Wants Political Appointment

Months after an unsuccessful bid for the Lagos State House of Assembly, gospel singer-turned politician, Kenny St. Best (KSB) still wishes to serve her fatherland.

KSB says she is looking forward to an appointment in the new political dispensation.
In a recent interview, Kennis Music boss, Kenny Ogungbe’s younger sister said that she is very hopeful when it comes to grabbing a political appointment sooner or later.
She said: “I will be stupid to say I am not expecting an appointment. I will be the most miserable and most foolish not to anticipate that I can be called upon to serve. You call it an appointment; I call it calling to serve. I look forward to serving. Although the initial plan was to get into the legislative arm where laws are made but at the executive arm, that’s where things get done, that’s where the changes are done. So if some of us couldn’t get into the House of Assembly, we are still willing to work. There are several things we said during campaigns that we will be willing to see get done especially as regards the little attention being paid to Nigerian youths and women.”

If she gets picked for a political appointment, KSB will be joining the likes of Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Okey Bakassi, Nkiru Sylvanus, Onyeka Onwenu among other Nigerian entertainers who have served in one political appointment or the other.
KSB contested the primary elections of the All Progressive Congress for the Lagos State House of Assembly (Ikeja Constituency 1) but lost. Kenny lost to the son of APC National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Jimi Mohammed.
