Nigeria’s Taiwo Awoniyi will undergo a medical in Liverpool in his bid to secure his move to the English Premier League with Liverpool.
The Nigerian youth player, according to Africanfootball.com, is expected to fly out to England this week for a medical and is not likely to feature in next month’s All Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo.

Nigeria U-23 spokesperson, Timi Ebikagboro, said: “He will leave this week for England to sign his contract with Liverpool and that is why he is not here training with us for the All Africa Games.”
The youth international, who has been chased by top European clubs, including AS Monaco, Red Bull Salzburg and FC Porto, is expected to sign a long-term deal with Liverpool-based club before being loaned out to a club outside England.
