Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has left Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on August 1, Saturday, for a one day visit to the Republic of Benin.
The trip is a part of his diplomatic shuttle to strategize on ways to stop the Boko Haram terrorism.
Some presidential sources say that Buhari will discuss security and bilateral issues with Benin’s President Bono Yayi.
Nigerian leader has just returned from Cameroon on July 30, Thursday, where he met President Paul Biya as both leaders joined forces on the efforts to overcome the Boko Haram insurgency plundering northern Nigeria.
The Boko Haram sect has battled the Nigeria and neighbouring countries killing scores in a bid to impose a caliphate system along the Lake Chad Basin.
