A popular Lagos pastor, Chris Okafor, has said President Muhammadu Buhari was chosen by God.
Speaking in Lokoja on Wednesday, August 12, Okafor, the general overseer of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries (The Liberation City), called on Buhari to continue with his anti-corruption war in the country, not minding who the culprits are, The Guardian reports.
The cleric said: “It is God that chose Buhari. It is not by tribe or religion; God has chosen Buhari and Nigerians must show understanding and pray for him to succeed.”
The man of God, who was in Lokoja for a three-day crusade of his ministry, advised the president to remain focused and selfless in the fight against corruption.
He said Buhari’s coming was divine and God would use him to restore the lost glory of Nigeria.
Okafor called on Nigerians to remain calm, not lose hope and to live in peace with one another.
He also urged them to come together and join hands with the president to correct the anomalies in the country.
Pastor Okafor has made prophecies which have not come to pass. One of these was that former president, Goodluck Jonathan would remain in Aso Rock until 2019. He had said: “God spoke to me exclusively that the current president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan will be Nigeria’s president after 2015 general elections.”
This prophecy was not fulfilled as Jonathan lost the election to President Muhammadu Buhari.
About a week ago, the cleric issued a warning that disaster might hit Nigeria soon. He said he saw in a vision, a plane full of human blood and to this result, he has asked all Nigerians to be vigilant and pray against a coming air disaster that might shake the country.
