Promotion In Nigeria Police As IGP Decorates New DIGs

Two deputy inspector-general (DIG) of police, who were recently promoted, have been decorated by the Inspector-General of police, Solomon Arase.
Arase decorated the DIGs in Abuja on August 4, and urged them to work harder as their promotion was a reward for earlier hard work. The newly decorated DIGs are Chintua Amajor-Onu and Jubril Adeniji.
He advised them to inject their wealth of experience to further improve the Police Management Team
I will expect that in your contributions and decisions to move the Nigeria police force forward, your thoughts and decisions will not be primordial” he said.
Earlier, retired Major General Lawarence Onoja, the president, Alumni of the National institute of policy and strategic studies (NIPSS), said the training acquired by the officers would further enhance their performance. He commended the IGP for the reformation programme he initiated since he assumed office.
Speaking on behalf of the officers, Amajor-Onu pledged their loyalty to Nigeria, especially at this time of change.
She also described the journey to the attainment of their new ranks as uneasy.
“We are grateful for the elevation to the rank of DIG” she said.
