Veteran actor, Segun Arinze, has been picked to be the artistic director of the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards which will hold later this year.
Arinze is expected to direct the proceedings at the 2015 edition of Best of Nollywood Awards, scheduled to hold in Akure the capital of Ondo State in December.
According to th executive producer of BON awards Seun Oloketuyi:
“The choice of Segun Arinze is predicated on the fact that we promised that this year’s event will surpass the previous editions in all ramifications. We are counting on his experience as an actor and organiser, as well as his image in the film industry, to help us ensure that we have a BON awards to remember. We look forward to having a good time working with him.”
Arinze who was full of gratitude for being chosen said:
“With a profound sense of duty, I accept the gesture of the organizers of BON awards in appointing me as the artistic director for the 2015 edition of the event. The BON awards is dear to me because it is a homegrown reward platform for Nigerian actors and that was one of the reasons I accepted to join the train that was in Akure, Ondo State recently for the unveiling of the host state.”
Segun Arinze fondly referred to as Black Arrow was once the president of the Actors Guild Of Nigeria. He took over from Zach Orji and handed over to incumbent president, Ibinabo Fiberesima-Egbuka.
