The Truth About My Rift With Tinubu, Amosun - Osoba

Former governor of Ogun state, Chief Olusegun Osoba (CON), has shed more light on his alleged rift with the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his state governor, senator Ibikunle Amosun, which led to his ouster from the APC to Social Democratic Party.
The seasoned journalist while speaking during an interview, stated that there are fundamental issues which are all purely political, which he said had nothing to do with any individual whatsoever.
He however, wondered why people always think that he has personal conflict with leaders of his former party, adding that he bears no grudge with anyone.
Olusegun Osoba says there is no rift between him and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu
He said: “I wonder why people talk of falling out with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, what do you mean by falling out? Those who know me personally know that I don’t like to bear grudge.
“I am a person that when you see me, if I am annoyed, I react spontaneously, you will see my red eyes. I don’t carry things on my mind overnight; there is no rift between me and any individual as such.
“There are fundamental issues which are all purely political, nothing to do with any individual whatsoever. Whether Governor Amosun, Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Bola Tinubu, nothing personal.
“Every issue was settled inside this same sitting room in December last year. I feel disgraced when people say I have a rift with Governor Amosun or that I have a personal conflict with the party leaders.
“One thing that I value most in life is sleep, I like to sleep well and to be able to sleep well, and I wouldn’t want to carry anything in my mind overnight. That is part of the thing that makes me live a relaxed life.”
When asked on the alleged rumour making the rounds that he was planning to defect from the SDP to his ex-party, the APC, he said: “I will answer you by saying that till I die, I will remain progressive. All the training that Papa Awolowo gave to me directly, his philosophy, his political beliefs that I believe in, I will continue to remain in that line.
“All I can answer is that I will never go the right wing, conservative wing of politics, I will never go the oligarchy way, I will remain progressive till I die and I will remain in politics like Papa Awolowo remained in politics till he breathed his last. I will never retire.”
Only yesterday, Otunba Gani Adams, leader of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), slammed Tinubu, stating that he is not fit to be called a leader.
