Why Buhari Should Make Data Collation Paramount – Group

President Muhammadu Buhari has been urged to encourage data collation, to enable government make policies that will be effective for economic growth.
This notion was made by Mr. Thomas Walker, the managing director of TNS/RMS Nigeria. According to him, most African countries have been economically left behind because they do not have the culture of data collation.
He said: “Nigeria is a great nation. However, we would have been a better country if we keep records. These records will form a basis for policy formulation. I urge the new president to make efforts to encourage data collation to allow the county take giant-strides as regards development.”
Asked why despite the fact some African countries are not safe, investors still see the country as attractive, Walker said: “Yes it is true that some African countries, not just Nigeria is unsafe, investors still strive to invest in the market because Africa has been seen as the next prospective-market for business.”
Mrs Maria Tyrell who was the guest speaker at the organised workshop to exhibit how TNS/MDS has improved, revealed that Africa is now a bedrock of business. Africa is irresistible. Business men have seen the potential of the continent,” she said.
