On Friday, July 24, 2015, popular Yoruba actor Adewale Elesho, lost his mother Alhaja Munirat Alake Adeoye Elesho, at the age of 98 and was immediately buried according to Muslim rites.

Elesho’s mom who was reported to have died after a brief illness, also fasted during this just concluded Ramadan.
In an interview with Encomium Magazine, the Yoruba actor disclosed that his mom was 98 before she died but people claimed that, she should be above 100.
When asked about what he would miss about his mom, he listed so many things he would miss about her.
He said, “I will miss her prayers. You hardly hear her curse anybody. She never joked with her prayers, always going to the mosque to pray. At times, when I call her, she would pray and pray until my phone gets hot. The only way to stop her was to tell her I was driving”.
It can be recalled that Elesho, was with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), before defecting to the All Progressive Congress (APC), following the footsteps of his boss, former governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
