Based on the recent update, the number of Nigerians who lost life in the Hajj stampede in Saudi Arabia has
risen.
Abdullahi Mohammed, the chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, told BBC Hausa of Friday, October 2, that 74 Nigerian pilgrims had died in the tragedy.
He explained that 54 Nigerians (the widely-publicised figure) were from the states’ delegation, and 20 were international pilgrims.
