PDP Planned to Use Jonathan's Attackers to Frame APC - Timipre Sylva

Following the arrests of a group of hired assassins who attempted to attack the home of former president, Goodluck Jonathan, the APC has accused the PDP for the attack in an attempt to frame the federal ruling party. 
Five suspected persons allegedly hired by politicians to bomb the home of former President Goodluck Jonathan were apprehended by operatives of Bayelsa State Police Command,Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
 
The arrest, which was carried out in an unnamed hotel in Swali area of Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state, has sparked off security concern in the state.

Sources confirmed to a National Mirror that the suspects were rounded up by the police based on a tip-off while they were perfecting strategy on how to attack the Yenagoa home of the former president.
 
While the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate, Chief Timipre Sylva, confirmed it during a media interaction on Wednesday, he said the suspects were hired hands of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the state governor with the intention to blame it on the APC. The PDP is yet to react to the claim.

Though the police command through its spokesman, Astim Butswat, failed to mention the political affiliation of the arrested suspects, he insisted that those arrested were plotting to attack a yet-to-be identified target. The arrested suspects include Timiere Matthew, 25, Samuel Joe, 27, Emeka Asupha, 34, Ebipre Ebebi, 25, and Okilo Matthew, 25.

Butswat said: “They were arrested based on a tip-off on January 6 at about 1500hrs, by detectives from the Anti-Kidnapping and Anti-Vice unit, which stormed a hotel premises in Swali community, Yenagoa.”
