Ikorodu Girls Kidnap: Police nab three more suspects



Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested three more suspects in connection with the kidnap of three girls from Babington Macurlay Junior Seminary (BMJS) Ikorodu.

Oluwatimehin Olusa, Tofunmi Popoolaniyan and Deborah Akinayo were abducted from their classroom on February 29 by a 12 -man gang but regained their freedom six days after.

It was gathered that the suspects were nabbed by personnel of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) Ikeja, bringing the number of arrested suspects to six.

It was learnt that the latest arrest was made in a hotel room where they suspects were hiding.

A police source who cannot be named said: “Three more suspects were arrested at the weekend in their different hotel rooms. We tracked them through the network providers and they have confessed to being the ones cooking for the girls and ensuring that they did not escape.

“They told us that they fed the girls with indomie noodles. The suspects also informed us that they had attempted to kidnap the girls two times and failed but they succeeded in their third attempt.”

The Nation reports that the three suspects paraded at the government house, Emmanuel Arigidi, James Henry and one Akanju Oluwasegun have been aiding the operatives with useful information to trap others.
