It was a Shame we Couldn't Beat Egypt Moses

Nigeria forward Victor Moses has expressed his sadness over the inability of Nigeria to beat Egypt in the AFCON 2017 qualifier in Kaduna on Friday.

Nigeria drew 1-1 with Egypt and now walk a tighter rope in the race to pick an automatic qualification ticket to AFCON 2017 in Gabon.

"Shame we couldn't get the win today (Friday) but the boys battled hard and we move on to Tuesday now," a disappointed Moses tweeted.

Victor Moses was a second-half substitute on Friday, playing his first match for Nigeria since the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Nigeria on five points stay two points behind group leaders Egypt, who host Nigeria in a return leg in Alexandria on Tuesday.

Tanzania are third with four points, while Chad are rooted to the bottom having recorded no points after three rounds of matches.
