At least 100 police officers heading to Rivers state from Akure, Ondo state for the rerun election were involved in an auto crash.
According to reports, the policemen traveling in police truck with registration number "NPF 5205 C" collided with another truck carrying cows along the East-West road near Akala - Olu community in Rivers state. Several policemen sustained various degree of injuries while at least five cows died in the accident.
