Yahaya Bello Uncovers Massive N2 Billion Fraud in Kogi Ministry

The Governor of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has uncovered a massive N2 billion fraud. The shocking discovery was made yesterday during an unscheduled visit to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
 
Dailytrust reports that the fraud was in connection to  the Kogi State/Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) funds which were reportedly being cornered by some directors in the ministry.
 
A shocked Bello after the discovery ordered the Acting Permanent Secretary of the affected ministry to provide a detailed report of the fund and how it was used. He ordered the ministry to work with the Office of the Accountant General for a thorough investigation. 
 
Bello assured the people of his state that all those involved in the fraud will be prosecuted as no sacred cow would be spared. 
 
He said his administration is determined to rid the state of corruption and elements drawing it back. The governor has directed the state’s Head of Service, Mr Moses Atakpa, to proceed on a 30-day compulsory leave.
