EFCC Seals Off Company That Sold Dubai Properties to Army Chief, Buratai (Photo)

Sources from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have revealed to SaharaReporters that their agents sealed offices of The First Group company in the Central Business District of Abuja. The First Group, a real estate development company, has featured in SaharaReporters investigations into the unexplainable properties belonging to Army Chief of Staff Tukur Buratai.
The First Group is located on the seventh floor of the Bank of Industry building of the Central Business District, Abuja.
Buratai, the current Chief of Army Staff, purchased two luxury properties in a posh area of Dubai for N120 million naira. The army has said that these properties were purchased from Buratai’s personal savings despite receiving an army salary for his career. It will be recalled that Buratai purchased these properties in one installment using a Skye bank account.
Sources from the EFCC have told SaharaReporters that The First Group scammed Nigerians out of more than $200 billion.
Investigations by the EFCC also revealed that the company known as TFG Real Estate Limited, which operates in Nigeria, is fronting as The First Group company which according to sources is based in Dubai and not registered in Nigeria.
The First Group, which operates as a Ponzi scheme, entices Nigerians to invest in Dubai properties and forces them to make payments. When they can no longer service those payments, the company seizes their money.
