- The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Edo, Mr. Sam Olumekun, says the collation of results would commence on Thursday, that's all for today, kindly join us tomorrow.

9:30 pm: Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole has won his polling unit with a landslide victory.
According to reports from Twitter, Oshiomhole's Etsako West Ward 10, Unit 1 saw APC get 752 votes while PDP had a paltry 2 votes.

9:15 pm: Joshak Habila, Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Operations, at Force Headquarters said no weapons had been recovered from perpetrators of election violence at the Edo governorship election.
Mr. Habila, who spoke with journalists on the tarmac of the Benin airport after he disembarked from a helicopter on air surveillance, said the election had been “99 percent peaceful.”

9:10 PM: As collations in polling units end, Richard Akinola, a lawyer, called on INEC to focus on potential flashpoints ahead of the Ondo governorship election.
He noted that bribing of voters was “so blatant.”
“In the area I monitored in Benin here it has been substantially peaceful, which I think is a good one for INEC,” Mr. Akinola told newsmen.
