Security services at the Casablanca Mohammed V airport arrested, on Saturday night, a Nigerian national for alleged trafficking of cocaine.
The suspect, 29, who arrived on a flight from Sao Paulo (Brazil) and was bound for Conakry (Guinea), was arrested after undergoing a CT scan that revealed the presence of drug capsules in his stomachs, the national police said in a statement.
He was put under medical supervision in the Ibn Rochd hospital of Casablanca for the removal of the capsules, and an investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, the same source added.
