John Terry could join Manchester United

Former Chelsea first team coach, Ray Wilkins, says captain John Terry could be joining rivals, Manchester United should he keep being overlooked by Antonio Conte.

Wilkins played for both clubs and believes that the veteran defender could look to reunite with former manager, Jose Mourinho, if he does not get more playing time at Stanford Bridge.

The ex-England captain has struggled to regain his place in Conte’s squad after coming back from an ankle ligament injury he sustained against Swansea City in September.

Terry has had interest from several Chinese Super League clubs, but Wilkins, who made over 300 appearances combined for Chelsea and United, believes that Terry’s next destination is more likely to be a bit closer to home with Mourinho potentially interested in a reunion.

Wilkins told talkSPORT, “I couldn’t agree more [that Terry will snub a move to China].

“I don’t think China will be on John’s radar.

“What about Old Trafford? He’s not playing for Chelsea but I think he still has plenty to offer. There will be someone out there who would love to have him.”

Chelsea manager has switched to a more fluid three-man defence, and it looks the centre-back’s era at Chelsea could finally be coming to an end.
