Two suicide bombers attacked market in Maiduguri on Sunday leaving 17 people injured.

 
Two suicide bombers, a male and female were killed after they attacked a popular 'Monday Market' in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State on Sunday.
 
Speaking on the incident, the spokesman of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Sani Datti in a text message to our correspondent said: “A male and female suicide bomber have detonated explosives near Monday Market Maiduguri this morning (Sunday).”
 
He said rescue workers were deployed to the scene to assist the injured.

Datti said: “Only the two suicide bombers lost their lives while 17 persons were injured and evacuated to the Specialist Hospital Maiduguri.”
 
Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) also confirmed that 17 persons who were injured due to the blast and while escaping from the scene are being attended to by medical personnel in a specialist hospital in Maiduguri.
 
It was gathered that the male and a female suicide bombers died from their explosive in Maiduguri before they could reach soft-target. No innocent life was lost.
