Chelsea Defender, Alonso Reveals 'Punishment' Given to the Players for Losing to Crystal Palace

Chelsea defender, Marcos Alonso has confirmed that Coach Antonio Conte canceled the usual 'day-off' of the Chelsea team owing to their dismal
performance against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Goal.com Chelsea correspondent, Nizaar Kinsella confirmed this via a tweet, he wrote:"Marcos Alonso has confirmed that Chelsea's players have had no days off since losing versus Crystal Palace. #CFC"
Antonio Conte had initially blamed all his player's for Chelsea's 2 - 1 defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend. He said: Conte said: “The performance of the whole team was bad, not one or two players - all the players."

“Our performance was bad. This season will be difficult but we must also understand we have to try to build something important for the future.

“Everyone can see our situation. If we compare last season, we didn’t play in the Europa League or Champions League.”
Recall that Crystal Palace stunned Chelsea at the Selhurst Park with a 2-1 victory on Saturday. Cesar Azpilicueta scored an own goal in the early stages as Palace started the stronger of the two sides but Tiemoue bakayoko made it level seven minutes later.
The winner came from Wilfred Zaha who scored few seconds to the half time after taking out Azpilicueta and Davide Zappacosta.
