President Muhammadu Buhari finally took over the reins of government exactly two months ago.
Disappointed by endemic corruption, insecurity and unemployment in the country, Nigerians observed Buhari as the messiah who would salvage their problems.
On his part, the president vowed not to fail and to give Nigerians a country they can all be proud of.

1. At last President Buhari moved into his official residence at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, 23 days after assuming office.

2. As a very busy with Nigeria’s challenges, the president visited his farm, showing his son, Yusuf, some documents relating to his farm.

Buhari who had made security a key point in his campaign and reiterated such in his inauguration address was quick to start off from that point after his inauguration with visits to the nearby countries of Niger and Chad purportedly to seek sub-regional alliances towards combating the spectre of insecurity presented by the Boko Haram militant group.

4. In his bid to stop the deadly Boko Haram group, President Buhari has commenced negotiations with the insurgents. He also met with some parents of the abducted Chibok girls and #BringBackOurGirls campaigners.

5. Nigeria’s leader has approved the appointments of new service chiefs and also a new national security adviser.
