Awujale, Ogun New Police Commissioner Partner To Fight Crime

The Ogun state Commissioner of Police, CP Abdulmajid Ali has assured traditional rulers in Ijebu area of police presence and commitment to fight crime in the area and the state in general.
He also expressed appreciation to the monarch, especially the Awujale and Paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Ogbagba II for his support to the command always and his fatherly advice on regular basis.
The Police boss stated this yesterday in Ijebu Ode during his visit to the monarch at his palace in Ijebu Ode,the headquarters of Ijebuland.
Awujale, alongside over thirty traditional rulers from Ijebuland with four Transition Committee Chairmen from Ijebu area were on ground to receive the Police boss.
In a statement signed by the State Police Public Relations Officers, PPRO,Deputy Superitendent of Police,DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi,copy which was made available to our correspondent in Abeokuta, the State Commissioner of Police revealed that all the visit was parts of his plan to have an active stakeholders forum for effective policing in the state.
In his reaction, the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona,welcomed the Commissioner of Police to Ogun State and promised to sustain the mutual relationship between the police and his domain.
The visit of the police boss was a clear indication that the command and the good people of Ijebu land are ready to get the area and Ogun state rid of cultists and miscreants who terrorise the people of the area and promote effective policing of Ijebu Ode and its environs.
Top senior Police Officer who accompanied the CP to the palace of Awujale includes the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence, DCP Shina Olukolu, Deputy Commissioner of Police,Department of Operations,Ogun State,DCP Bello Makwachi, Area Commander, Ijebu Ode, ACP Abdullahi Mudashiru and others.
Meanwhile, CP Abdulmajid Ali, has promised the family of the slain Iyaloja of Ijebuland, the late chief (Mrs) Sadiat Elewuju, that the killers will be apprehended soon.
