Glo Launches Dance With Peter Competition

The Globacom sponsored dance competition, ‘Dance with Peter” was launched at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos, over the weekend.
A lot of celebrities were in attendance including Peter and Paul Okoye popularly known as P-Square, Chocolate City Chairman, MI Abaga, Mavin Records singer, Di’Ja and dance queen, Kaffy.
According to Globacom, “Dance with Peter,” named after Peter, one half of the popular duo P-Square, was designed to promote and inculcate  the dance culture among West Africans and assist those who may want to go into the dance profession to tap into their talents.



“It is going to be the biggest reality TV show in recent time, with huge benefits for the participants in the competition, entertainment lovers and television viewers generally,” Glo said.
It was disclosed during the launch that the winner of the competition would drive home a brand new Toyota RAV 4 with a cash benefit of N3million and the rare opportunity of featuring in P-Square’s next music video.
The first and second runners-up will drive home a brand new Honda Civic car, N2million cash and a brand new Kia Rio car with N1million cash respectively as well as a chance to feature in a top Glo ambassador’s music videos.
It was also revealed that notable Nigerian dancers such as Peter, Kaffy and Flex will feature on the show as judges while Ehis Okoegule of MTV Base will be the show host.
Auditions for the show will be held in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Benin and Abuja in Nigeria as well as in Accra, Ghana. Six dancers will be selected by the judges from each location for the real battle in Lagos.
Glo broke down the duration of the show to 13 weeks, with the first two weeks designed for profiling and auditions, the next 10 weeks would be for the elimination series which will all be themed and the last episode would be the grand finale which will be held in Lagos with star appearances.
​Dance with Peter will be broadcast on Afrimagic, AIT in Nigeria, TV3 in Ghana and ORTV in Benin Republic. Broadcast times for the show will be announced on a later date.
Globacom said registration for the competition has started and it is open to only Glo subscribers in Nigeria and Ghana. “
