Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Adegorushen V, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, has issued a stern warning to members of cult groups who have been causing unrest in Ikorodu division of Lagos state.
The Ilufemiloba told journalists during a press briefing on Monday to announce his formal coronation, that there will be no place for cultism and other social vices in the division, as he is ready to toe the path of his predecessor, late Oba Salaudeen Oyefusi (CON), who ensured that the menace was brought to a standstill.

Oba Shotobi, who talked tough during the briefing at his massive palace on Monday, also noted that there are other things which the youths can lay their hands on apart from being involved in social vices.
“There shall be no room for cultism, brigands, hooliganism and disruption of public peace in my domain. I shall always be available to work in all youth organisations, and support all efforts to promote the interest of the youth for positive and productive values,” the Ayangbure said.
Speaking further, he appreciated the governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, for his tremendous support since he was officially inaugurated as the number one citizen of the state.
He, however, appealed to governor Ambode to remember all the promises he made to the people of the division as he believes that Ikorodu is the fastest growing urban town of the state.
“I am optimistic that the promises made about the infrastructural development of Ikorodu will continue to receive appropriate attention of his governance,” Oba Shotobi added.
The first class Oba also announced the appointment of former Lagos state governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the Baba Oba of Ikorodu land.
