Oliseh Begs Press On Behalf Of Keshi

Coach Sunday Oliseh has addressed his relationship with dismissed coach Stephen Keshi who is a raging clash with the nation’s governing body, Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
Speaking to The Sun, Oliseh said he was yet to speak to the embattled Keshi.
He said: “I have not spoken to Keshi since I took over, but I don’t think that is a problem. I have no problem with Keshi and I sincerely don’t think the press should sensationalize that.”

Oliseh also pointed out that he is building a new team from the scratch ahead of the AFCON 2017 qualifier against Tanzania.
He said: “I and my assistants have discovered that there is a lot work to do. We need time because the basic problem we have as a crew is that we have a completely new team. Our case is that unlike a coach who usually inherits six or seven regular players on taking over a club only to bring in three or four new players, we are coming in and starting from the scratch. In the past one year, it has been one player today another tomorrow in the Eagles and given that situation, it will be difficult to say how long it will take us to build a team.”
Oliseh will face his first test away in Dar es Salam, in the September 5 clash against Taifa Stars of Tanzania. He recently revealed what his mother told him before accepting the coaching job.
