A report from the headquarters of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has it that Super Eagles’ head coach, Sunday Oliseh has invited 18 overseas-based professionals for next month’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania in Dar es Salaam.
Vincent Enyeama, Nigeria’s first choice goalkeeper, Godfrey Oboabona, Leon Balogun and Kenneth Omeruo, midfielders Rabiu Ibrahim, Lukman Haruna, Joel Obi, are aming the top player the Nigerian boss has invited for the must win clash.
The press statement signed by Demola Olajire, the NFF’s spokesperson also put up some surprise inclusions, following from Oliseh’s earlier pledge to make current form and first –level football key indices for selection.
Goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, midfielder Izunna Ernest Uzochukwu and forwards Emem Eduok, Sylvester Igboun and Moses Simon, were therefore given surprise call ups.
The players invited will, baring any last minute hitches, join up with the 23 home boys who arrived camp in Abuja on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the latest.
