Oliseh Tells One Thing Nigerians Shouldn’t Expect From Him

Sunday Oliseh, head coach of the Super Eagles, has told Nigerians not to think he is coming to perform miracles in the team.
In a chat with FIFA.com, the 40 year old said he will start the team’s organization from the scratch and also, that it is not an easy quest so Nigerians should not think he will perform magic.
He said: “We are practically starting from the scratch so that is why I am saying that people should not expect miracles from us.
“We all have dreams and I am hoping I will be successful as I can be. But one has to be realistic also. We have just started and our first step is to hopefully just win the cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania. That is what I am praying for, game by game.”
Speaking further about the game tempo for football games, Oliseh said football tempo is high globally with potential players, making him bent on parading players who regularly features for top division clubs both locally and internationally
He said: “Our ambition is to get the best to play for Nigeria and football is getting faster these days and it keeps getting faster and faster. The tempo is different now and we can see in the first division of most nations that is where the tempo is”
“Time will tell (a lot of things) but I took the job to be successful.”
Sunday Oliseh also recently expressed disappointment regarding the calibre of players that presently make up the Super Eagles.
