Senator Shehu Sani said on Sunday, August 23, that the Red Chamber would fully support Muhammadu Buhari’s fight against corruption and terrorism in the country.
According to Premium Times the lawmaker representing Kaduna Central in the Senate made the claim during an event held at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
“Nigerians have been misruled for many years due to bad governance. President Buhari has shown commitment in the fight against corruption, which the Senate will give full support to see that corruption has been reduced to the barest level.
“Buhari has also shown commitment to the fight against insurgency, which the Senate will also give all what is required to see that Boko Haram is defeated and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) are returned home to continue with their normal life.”
Meanwhile President Buhari, who has launched an active fight against corruption, yesterday directed the national security adviser (NSA) to convene an investigative committee on the procurement of hardware and munitions in the Armed Forces from 2007 till the present.
In another development the Department of State Security Services has taken to court the former NSA, Sambo Dasuki, over the alleged illegal possession of unregistered firearms.
