Six Nigerian Players Declared Missing

Six female players have been declared missing from the camp of the Coal City female football club of Enugu.
The players have not been sighted by the management of the club for over one month.
Mr Okey Nnamani, who is the team manager of the club lamented that the players disappeared from the club’s camp on July 2, 2015.
Speaking with News Association of Nigeria (NAN), Nnamadi said: “After our last training before the club’s first-leg match with Ebonyi Queens of Abakaliki in July, these players refused to honour the match and since then, they have not reported for training or in camp.
“The players are Ifeoma Ogwegbe, Ogochukwu Onu, Chidinma Ani, Juliet Okwor, Uche Nwaigwe and Odinaka Omoha,” he said.
The embattled manager however explained that although he is yet to know the whereabouts of the ‘run-away’ players, reports reaching him indicate they are still in the country.
“From the information we have gathered so far, these players are still in Nigeria probably negotiating with other clubs.
“We are appealing to anybody that knows their whereabouts to contact the Enugu State Football Association or the management of Coal City Babes football club, Enugu.
“We meant well for these players and that is why we gave them the opportunity to showcase their talents through our darling club.
“We will part with them in a reasonable manner if they are not ready to work with us again,” Nnamani said.
A couple of days ago, Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal, admitted that he does not know the whereabouts of record signing, Angel Di Maria.
