Ms Christina, who reportedly confirmed the development to Global Village Extra correspondent via telephone, said the exercise was done between 10 and 10: 30 am, American time (Nigerian time, 5:50pm), on the July 30.
The doctor who is in charge of surgery scheduling, said: “Yes, Mr. Kuku’ s surgery was successful and he has gone to rest for a few days before we commence therapy on him.”
When she was asked whether Kuku would be discharged immediately, Christiana said: “doctors say it would take Kuku 4 to 5 weeks before he gets better.”
EFCC had invited Kuku to answer allegations on conspiracy, stealing, abuse of office and diversion of public funds in a letter with ref: CR 3000/EFCC/ABJ/EG/T7/vol.25/263 and dated July 22,
Kuku had responded to the letter, saying that he was currently in the US undergoing a surgery operation on his knee, and that he would answer the invitation in September when he recuperates.
