The 2015 summer transfer window is still open and teams are keen to strengthen as the 2015/16 season continues or as in Italy, Spain kicks-off soon.
Over the past week, clubs have been moving to either sell, keep or renew the contracts of their players.
The biggest update this week was the news of Sergio Ramos‘s contract renewal with Real Madrid which brings an end to the speculation of the player’s move to Manchester United.
The Madrid captain will sign his new deal on Monday 17th of August in a public ceremony at the Bernabeu.
David De Gea is set to stay the Manchester United, sources have told Sky Sports. His suppose move to Madrid has been made difficult with the Ramos situation.
On the other side of Manchester, City are believed to be closing in on a deal for former Manchester United target, Nicolas Otamendi who plays for Valencia. Various English tabloids have confirmed a bid has been made for the Argentine and the player has not trained for the past two days in a bid to force a move to the English club.
While Otamendi might be arriving soon, Edin Dzeko has left the club to join Italian club, AS Roma on a season long loan. The player moved on 12th of August and two days after his arrival, the Bosnian scored two goals in a 6-4 friendly win over Sevilla of Spain.
Clinton N’Jie of Lyon moved to Tottenham Hotspurs in a move worth around $15m and the club cut ties with flop Roberto Soldado who moved to Villareal for around $13m.
Xherdan Shaqiri of Inter Milan moved to Stoke City for around $15m while the Italian club on Sunday announced that Croatian wonder-kid, Mateo Kovacic will be moving to Real Madrid for around $40m. The 22 year old has been with Inter for three years an he will beef up a Madrid midfield already boasting Lucas Silva, Casemiro, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Isco and James Rodriguez.
Meanwhile. Augsburg and Ghanian left-back, Baba Rahman has moved to Chelsea FC. Chelsea were defeated 3-0 by by Manchester City on Sunday and news of the move became open immediately after the match.
