Amokachi Gives Update On Coaching Career

After weeks of speculation, Daniel Amokachi has finally put to rest reports that he was sacked as manager of Nigerian Premier League side, Ifeanyi Ubah FC.

The former Super Eagles assistant trainer confirmed to AfricanFootball.com that he resigned from his post as coach of the Eastern Nigerian club.
He said: “Yes, I have resigned as the coach of Ifeanyi Ubah. I am in Kaduna right now.”
Amokachi did not reveal details of resignation or the circumstances that led to it though it has been known that the former Nasarawa United coach was never fully settled at the club and sometimes felt threatened by the presence of former coch, John Obuh.
Africanfootball.com speculates that his time came to an end after the  1-0 defeat to Sharks in Port Harcourt on Sunday September 13.
Amokachi reportedly told the team to travel at night journey after the match but the players and coaches rejected the idea.
Omgdailyupdate.blogspot.com recalls Amokachi had pushed for the sack of John Obuh who served as technical director of the club during Amokachi’s spell in charge.
Amokachi who replaced Obuh as coach was demanding Obuh left the club permanently alleging that his presence was hampering the club’s chances of finishing in the four.
