Former Togolese international, Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor, has confirmed that he agreed to terminate his contract with his English Premier League Club, Tottenham Hotspurs.
The former African footballer of the year took to his facebook page today September 13, 2015 to notify his fans.
The facebook post reads: “I can confirm that I have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to terminate my contract. I wish to thank the club and the fans for my time there and I wish them well for the forthcoming season.”
Emmanual Adebayor, who accused his brother of stealing 27 phones of players who were with him at a training club saw less action in the English top-flight football at the 2014/2015 season due to issues with his family members.
The striker has been told he has no future with the London club and last week, he turned down the chance to train with the first team. As a result, the player is now a free-agent.
