A man named Oladipupo Rabiu, stunned everyone at the Ajegunle Customary Court recently when he told the court that his wife is a thief, Vanguard reports.
Rabiu accused his wife, Morufat Rabiu of always stealing his money, and further accused her of always engaging in physical combats with him and their co-tenants.
Responding, Morufat accused her husband of being a serial liar. According to her, Oladipupo wants to dissolve their marriage because he has gotten himself a new wife and so wanted to send her packing.
She however declared her love for Oladipupo in the court saying: “I still love my husband.”
The presiding judge, Mrs. V.O. Sanni, in her ruling, advised the couple to make peace, asking Oladipupo to forgive his wife and settle things with her amicably.
In a similar vein, a trader and mother of one, Tawakalitu Waheed, asked the court to dissolve her three-year old marriage to her husband, Olarenwaju Waheed for what she claimed to be irresponsible conduct on the part of her partner.
She told the court: “He does not pay any bills. I am the one paying for everything, yet he accuses me of using my concubines money to prepare meals for the family. Based on that false charge, he stopped eating the food I prepare.”
