Nigerian Army Recovers Livestock In Minna

The 31th artillery brigade of the Nigerian army in Minna has carried out a successful operation in Munya local government area of Niger state.

The Punch reports that its details were provided on Saturday, September 4, when the assistant director of the army public relations officer, Agwu Njideka, briefed journalists:
“A total of 97 cows and 41 sheep were recovered during the operation by the soldiers. Some of the rustlers ran away on sighting the soldiers.”
The army official further disclosed that one Abubakar Hassan had been arrested on Thursday in a operation led by Lieutenant Colonel of the 313th Artillery Regiment.
She added that he had been handed to the LG authorities, so as  the livestock.
She concluded:
“I want to categorically state that the Brigade will not condone any form of banditry, cattle rustling, kidnapping, rape or any form of criminality in its area of responsibility.”
On Friday the Nigerian army destroyed 2,000 cartons of dried fish and smoked meat recovered from suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Maiduguri, Borno state.
